Add an Event to a Transaction

Fairways Debt notifies you by email when an event occurs. To create an event and link it to a transaction, you must first create an event type to categorize that event.

Navigate to the Debt & Derivatives Application
  1. Log in to your Fairways Debt account.
  2. Select a customer account, if required.
  3. Navigate to Applications Applications.png > Debt & Derivatives.
Add an Event to a Transaction
  1. Open a transaction.

  1. Click Custom Event Notifications FairwaysDebt_Event_Add.png > Add Event.

  1. Complete the form with all relevant details.

Note: Fields marked with an asterisk * are mandatory.

 Field  Description
Name Event name.
Start/Event Date
  • For a unique event: Event date.
  • For a periodic event: Date of the first occurrence.
Type

Event category.

See Create an Event Type.

Description Notification email content.
Periodic Enable to configure a series of events.
  1. Click OK to confirm.

Configure a Periodic Event
 Field  Description
Frequency How often the event occurs.
End Date Rule

When and how the series of events ends:

  • Transaction End Type: The series of events ends on the transaction maturity date or earlier, following the selected frequency.
  • Custom End Date: The series of events ends on a selected date.
  • Times: The series of events ends following a defined number of occurrences.

Note: Additional fields to complete display depending on the end date rule selected.

Notes:

  • Events may happen before the trade/start date and after the maturity date.
  • The last event of the series is set to 50 years after the start date, even for ongoing loans with no maturity date.
